RESULTS
The 2nd annual Tailgate Party Member-Guest was held on Sunday, October 16th. FRCC played host to 116 members and their guests for the final event in this season's great series of member-guest tournaments. Players were treated to a sunny and seasonably warm October day. The tournament featured some good golf, delicious food and ample beverage, a great putting contest playoff, and another dramatic New England victory! It was truly a great day at the Fall River Country Club.
Congratulations to the 2011 Champions: Dan Salmon III, John Carroll, Mike Worsley, and Brandon Magoni. Our winning team posted a net score of 54(-16) in the 1 best ball of 4 format, and also tied for the lowest gross score with 64(-6). What a great performance on such a windy day!
Two teams finished tied for 2nd Net, a single stroke behind the leaders, with a score of 55: Glenn Rapoza/Shawn Rapoza/Erik Almeida/Jeff Hankins and Steve Billington/Tom Stone/Dave Quinlan/Don LaChapelle.
Roy Fierra, Don Whalley, Gerry Santos, and Adam Fernandes also posted a score of gross 64, and took home Low Gross honors for the event.
Thank you to all the players who participated in this fun event, as well as all our great members who supported the other member-guest tournaments. We hope to see you and your guests again in 2012!
