Match Play - Round of 8

FRCC's 2012 Men's Club Championship started with an 18-hole medal play qualifying round on Saturday, June 23rd.  The scores reflected the order of play.  While early qualifiers from the Championship Division suffered from starting their round in heavy rains, the sun was shining before the Second Division's tee times even finished!  Thankfully, the course's impeccable condition easily handled the early-morning deluge and allowed for excellent tournament conditions all day.  The low eight players during medal play in each division advanced to match play for Sunday, June 24th.

Congratulations to this year's medalist, Luke Gagne!  Luke fired a steady 73 (+3) to capture the honor over playing partner Bob Reis, who posted a 75(+5) on the day.  Brian Dempsey secured the 3rd seed on his quest to make a fourth consecutive trip to the finals, while the defending champion, Kyle Duarte, also made it back to the match play bracket.  There are several great story lines yet to unfold in the pursuit of Fall River Country Club's 2012 Championship title.

Roger Lussier captured the low net honors and #1 seed in the First Division, while Bob Valente posted an outstanding net score of 65 and earned the top-seed in the Second Division.
