The final event for Fall River Country Club's 2011 WGA season was held on Sunday, October 23rd.  Congratulations to the 2011 Champions: Bev Letendre and Kerry St. Pierre!  Fifteen teams competed in the annual "Turkey Shoot" which traditionally brings the WGA tournament calendar to a close. Thankfully, New England's fickle late-October weather cooperated this year and afforded the participants a beautiful day for golf.

The tournament featured two-woman teams in a challenging scramble format.  Several teams had high-quality performances though, posting scores near and under the par of 72.  In fact, a score of 70(-2) won the event just last year.  However, Letendre and St.Pierre managed a fantastic net score of 65(-7) on their way to this year's title! The score of seven-under par is one of the lowest rounds in recent event history.

The tandem of Kerri Sloat and Fernanda Viveiros also put forth an excellent effort, finishing alone in 2nd place with a score of 68(-4).  Donna Lussier and Pat McDonald combined to post a net 69(-3) and secure third place.
