Sunday, September 4th at 11:30 a.m.
**CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH**

The Fall River Country Club Women’s Golf Association Club Championship FINAL will be played on Sunday, September 4th.  The 18-hole match will begin at 11:30 a.m.  Cindy Prayzner, a 12-time winner and defending champion, will play against 3-time winner, Dottie Fierra.  Either Prayzner or Fierra have won every WGA Club Championship title since 2003.

Remarkably, Cindy’s 12 championships are not the most in FRCC’s long history!   Marji Packer currently holds the record, with an incredible 14 victories between 1960 and 1977.  With a win Sunday, Cindy will trail Mrs. Packer by just one.

Dottie has also enjoyed great success in the event, having won three straight titles from 2006 to 2008.  Our historical records date back to 1937.  Over those 73 years, only five women have won the title four or more times; Packer, Prayzner, Helen Mullen, Jean Aldrich, and Mrs. D.S. Jones.  If Dottie should win Sunday, she would join an elite class of WGA champions!
